Do entrepreneurs really get leads and verification from Quora?

So far over the last 90 days, I have gotten over 600 submissions to my ideas@g3.com address from people on Quora. Of those, 30 turned into phone calls or in person meetings and of the 30, 3 of them have become deals that are moving forward, with one deal already resulting in money in and first return scheduled for March 20, 2017. So, “YES Virginia, there is a Santa Clause.”
Quora has been a great platform for expanding my reach worldwide. I already have business in 38 states and 14 countries and operate in 11 time zones around the world. But with the international audience that Quora provides it is a rare opportunity to see more deals and provide feedback even to the deals that I do not fund.
You can ask any of the 600 people who have submitted to me, all of them have gotten an answer, most within 24 hours, but some in less than 1 hour. Most of the deal I review are not well thought out or well presented and those get a “Quick No” but many are interesting, but don’t represent a huge potential for profit. The rare few, 5%, get my attention and get a follow up meeting or call. In one case, I even flew to NYC for an in person meeting to close a deal because I knew I could help make my partner money. Dinner was fabulous too.
So, Yes, if you have your act together and you really have something of value, there are those of us on Quora that are happy to review, consider, provide feedback and even move forward on an opportunity.
